WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Chaos
A chaotic display of love padlocks on the Pont Des Arts in Paris.
16 days after I took this photo, a section of the parapet collapsed under the weight of locks that are meant to symbolize eternal love. I added my own bit of chaos to the mix and attached a family lock to the Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor… I wonder how long it will last?

A view of the Russian River and ‘new’ Guerneville bridge shot in the early morning. The new Guerneville bridge was built in the late 1990s just upriver from the old, green, steel-structure. The town successfully fought to save the old bridge, which had been serving the community since the 1920s. It’s now a lovely pedestrian and cycling bridge.
The Monte Rio bridge is an iconic symbol of the lower Russian River. It’s fronted by an, equally iconic, quonset hut, home to the Rio Theater, and surrounded by a forest of coast redwoods. The contrast between the utilitarian steel and concrete construction, and the whimsical iron lamp posts adds to the delight-factor.
